Professor Aswad Participates in U.S. State Department’s Advisory Committee on International Law

On December 10, Professor Evelyn Aswad participated in the State Department’s Advisory Committee on International Law, which is composed of former legal advisers to various Secretaries of State as well as international law professors and practitioners. The discussion focused on issues related to cross-border electronic data access, the development of non-legally binding international norms, and issues relating to the law of war. Professor Aswad shared her views on the intersection of these topics with the emerging area of international business and human rights.

Nicole Lynn (’15) Lands Dream Job: Alumna is PlayersRep’s First Female Sports Agent

It can take decades for professionals to secure a job of their dreams. Nicole Lynn, a graduate of OU Law’s Class of 2015, had a different experience.

“I came to law school with the sole purpose of becoming a sports agent,” said Nicole. “I have always wanted to help athletes make the transition from college football to the NFL and then transition out of the NFL. Many athletes make a ton of money over the course of their career, but end up bankrupt. I want to be a sounding board for them and help them retain wealth.”
